Year 6 children took part in the ‘Sail for a fiver’ activity at the Andrew Simpson Sailing Centre Ltd., Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. All the children had a fantastic time. The Young Pavement Artist event was incredible. The Esplanade by Greenhill Gardens was a riot of colour as 180 talented artists from 9 Weymouth schools chalked their designs onto the pavement on a theme of Artist Inspired Boats. The school was visited on Monday by Mr Nigel Spring, an expert in moths, among other things. He camped in the school grounds overnight, and set up three moth traps in different locations in the fields. I am currently in the process of organising our instrumental tuition requirements for the next academic year (Sept 14 – July 15). There are a maximum of 30 lessons over the whole year (10 each term).
