Netball club will change next term. In January 2018, it will take place on a WEDNESDAY after school (starting Wednesday 17th January), instead of Thursday and we will be inviting year 5 children to join. Mrs Minter will give out the letters after the Christmas holidays to those who would like to attend the club. more »
Cracking Christmas Co-ordinates This week we have been very busy creating Christmassy artwork…using maths!? The last week of term is always a busy one. We have enjoyed a Christingle service at the church, a Christmas lunch and a trip to the pantomime. On Thursday Year 6 came to visit showing us a puppet show which we all enjoyed. Merry Christmas from the Year 2 team.
Well done year 6, you have made some great puppets. The children have worked really hard to complete the puppets today (which now ends our science topic on light ) and later in the week will have the opportunity to perform their show to the Key Stage 1 children.
Wearing Christmas jumpers added to the excitement in the morning and everyone began to get hungry as the smell of delicious roast potatoes and scrummy sprouts filled the air. On Thursday 7th December 2017, Southill girls faced Radipole in a 9-aside football match. The children have been working hard on the training pitch with Mr Edmonds and it was time to put this to the test. It was a fantastic match and the children were winning 2-1 at half time! Despite the rather miserable looking weather outside, the children were still able to have a go at building tents in preparation for writing a set of easy-to-follow instructions.
