Artists and Engineers

What another wonderful week it has been in Reception. I couldn’t stop taking photographs of all the children being busy in the classroom and following their interests. We had a visit from a spider on Tuesday which inspired a group of children to make spider homes and the painting table has also been fully booked all week with children wanting to experiment with paints. See all below!

In other news, I have learned the true meaning of ‘I’ll do anything for a chocolate biscuit;’ the introduction of a packet of custard creams to the maths cafe certainly helped the children gain a good understanding of good sharing! Well done, everyone.

And finally, today, we have dabbled in some nautical engineering by putting pieces of junk together in creative ways to make our own boats. Photos of the floating session to follow! Such great fun all round.

Well done, everyone.
