This afternoon we enjoyed a beautiful cycle ride along the Rodwell Trail and to the Chesil Beach Cafe for an ice cream. How lucky we are to live in this stunning location. A great time was had by all. Thanks to Mr Mason for organising and to all the adults that helped out.
Today we visited Geevor Tin Mine followed by an afternoon on the beach at Porthminster and then, after the most delicious cheeseburgers, we set off to Seal Island on a mini flotilla of ships! St Ives was splendid in the sunshine today and we’ve have had an awesome day of adventures. Paradise Park exceeded all our expectations and we crammed a much as we could into our few hours there – penguins, parakeets, pygmy goats and pandas (red ones) to name a few of the animals we’ve seen today. more »
Year 5 have just settled down to bed after an action packed day of arty adventures. After a long coach journey we enjoyed our lunch at the hostel and then set off to Barbara Hepworth Museum and the Tate. Both places were incredibly beautiful in the Cornish sun. A brilliant session on the beach this morning – learning about safe swimming in the sea and all round fitness. Year 5s were awesome (as usual). They did us proud.
The cloudy skies cleared and the the sun came out – hooray! Thank you to everyone who came and supported the Summer Fayre this year – it was brilliant to see so many of you there. The money raised by events like this does so much to help the school. Well done FOSS for organising more »
Well done to all the pupils who were praised in assembly for their reciprocity and resourcefulness this week. Fridays are always fantastic in Year 5 but last Friday was extra special. We celebrated all things Ancient Greek! The children (and adults) came dressed as Ancient Greeks for a day of historical fun. We made Olympic torches, clay coil pots, cooked up and ate a Greek mezze feast and then burned off all the more »
Well done to all our award winners who have impressed the teachers by being reciprocal and resourceful this week.
