Whoever Heard of a Talking Papaya?

Our week started with a look in our story sack – and what did we find?  A talking papaya!  How exciting!  We have been really busy learning our new shared text.  Please keep practising this story at home.  We are looking particularly at character dialogue in this story.  See if you can find some dialogue in the books you are reading at home.  Can you remember what the special punctuation is called?

We have also been busy with our topic ‘Wriggle and Crawl’ looking for snails, bringing them in to study them, measuring and marking them ready for release.  We discovered that they are either super fast at getting away or brilliant at hiding because we couldn’t find them again anywhere!

We had a lovely afternoon with Mrs Jones creating camouflage pictures and we have also written algorithms for the very hungry caterpillar to find some food.

If you are out and about this weekend perhaps you could keep a look out for our wandering snails – I wonder how far they have got?

Have a great weekend.  See you Monday.
