This morning in our Year 2 classroom there was a visitor waiting for us! He was holding a red envelope with stars on, a warning sign, and he had a little bag. Inside the little bag were sparkling jewels. We talked about each item, what they were and why the dragon might have them.

We opened the envelope and discovered a story map! We read the story together. It was about a boy called Kassim. Kassim’s mum gave him a warning – don’t go into the dark cave!

Grown ups, ask your child what Kassim found in the cave..!

Over the next few days, we will create actions as a class to help us remember the story. Great listening today, Year 2!
