🏑 Hockey Club Hits the Mark Every Tuesday! 🏑

We’re thrilled to share just how much fun our after-school Hockey Club has been this term! Every Tuesday afternoon, a fantastic group of children have been staying behind for a fast-paced, energetic hour of hockey—and the enthusiasm has been off the charts!

Led by the wonderful Emily from Weymouth Hockey Club, the sessions have not only been action-packed but also incredibly valuable in developing a range of important physical and tactical skills. Over the weeks, we’ve seen the children make amazing progress in their agility, balance, and hand-eye coordination, as well as a growing understanding of teamwork and the game itself. From dribbling drills to mini matches, there’s been a real buzz every week!

Emily has been absolutely brilliant with the group—her energy, patience, and encouragement have made a huge difference. She’s been so impressed by the enthusiasm and talent of our young players that she wanted to offer them the chance to continue their hockey journey outside of school too.

So here’s the plug! If your child has enjoyed Hockey Club (or if they’d like to give it a go in a more formal club setting), Emily runs a Junior Hockey Club on Monday evenings from 6–7pm at Redlands Sports Centre. It’s a great opportunity to build on the skills they’ve learned here at school and to be part of a wider hockey community. All are welcome, whether they’re complete beginners or budding future stars!

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Emily and Weymouth Hockey Club for their continued support and for making our Tuesday sessions after school such a highlight of the week.
