Tasks for Thursday

Phonics: Letters and Sounds lesson 48

Story: Watch the video of our story again today.

Picture of the day: This is one of the pages from the story. Talk about what happened in this part of the story.

Write a sentence to match what is happening in the picture. You could start your sentence with:

They…..      She……..  There………

You might also need to use some of these words:

saw….       was…..      the……

These are all tricky words so use the back of your sound board to help you.

Maths: White Rose Maths, Day 4 of Oliver’s Vegetables.

Making number labels today and counting, as well as a bit of a boogie!

Other Activities

Revisiting our story: Try one of these activities to help you re-tell our story and remember the main things that happened. Here are some pictures of the tiny things they found in the story.

Task 1: Make a zig-zag book to show some of the treasures they found- draw one on each page and write a label.

Task 2: On a large piece of paper, draw a map of their journey and draw the tiny treasures they found. Add words to label each part of the map.

If you are able to, you could print out the pictures and cut them out to use on your map.

Getting Outside: Hopefully the weather will help us today! Go outside to explore shadows, just like our story.

Here are some ideas for you. Why not try the shadow drawings or nature shadows.
