Spellings

This weeks spellings are words that we will be using in our writing. These words are from our class story ‘Little Charlie’ and we will be using them this week. These are not tricky words, therefore the children can sound them out. However, it would be a great support if you could learn these words, spelt correctly so that your child is able to write them quickly and accurately.

Maths

This week we have been looking at addition. You can support your child at home by writing addition number sentences together, focusing on the use of the correct symbol. For example, 4 + 3 = 7

You could use objects that you have at home to support this, such as pieces of pasta or Lego. Alternatively your child may be able to add by counting on. For example, start on 3 and count on 3.

4…5,6,7

Thanks for your continued support.
