Parents: all words are selected from the age-appropriate National Curriculum list of statutory words. These are words your child has to know by the end of Year 6. Children have been taught a range of strategies for learning spellings as part of their work at school. Please encourage them to practise at home during the week, and carry out an occasional test to prepare them for Friday morning.

Times Tables

The times table to brush up on this week is:

We will test the children up to 12 times 8.

On Friday after school, please ask your child to see their scores. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

We have also sent home a ‘Knowledge Organiser’ all about our new topic ‘A Child’s War’. We would like the children to study this in order to learn as much about our new topic as possible. We will be doing a quiz at the end of the topic to see how much the children have learnt.
