This week the children have been completing word searches on topics that we have covered over the year including The Stone Age, Ancient Egypt and Plants.  Today the children were given a piece of squared paper and told they could make their own word search based on any theme.  Some came up with animals and other were to do with our class spellings and lots were personal ones all about them and their friends.  One they had added their words and made the list underneath it was time to fill in all the vacant squares with random letters to hide the words.  The children did a fantastic job and were very creative and calm.  Some word searches were very tricky even for me and I’m normally quite good at them!
