I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week! Thank you so much to everyone who has recently sent in positive comments and feedback—your kind words have really lifted our spirits and given the team a wonderful boost. FOSS Barbecue – Thank You!
We had a wonderful time at the FOSS barbecue, and were very lucky with the weather considering how wet it was on Thursday! A big thank you to FOSS for organising such a fun event, and a special thank you to the Boat Cafe for generously donating the food. The children had a lovely time together. We’re aware that a few children were disappointed not to attend due to missing the deadline, and we’re committed to making sure this doesn’t happen next year.

Celebrating Achievements

• Well done to all our Year 1 pupils who completed the Phonics Screening Check this week—we are so proud of your hard work and achievements!
• Congratulations also to Year 4 for completing the Multiplication Tables Check. You all did brilliantly.
• We were excited to welcome our new Reception children for their first visit this week. It was lovely to meet you all and we look forward to seeing you in September!

Lunchtime Toy Trading
I wanted to let you know that some children have been trading toys at lunchtime. While this can seem like harmless fun, sometimes young children don’t fully understand that trading means they may not get their toy back. Please have a chat with your child about this, especially if they are bringing something special to school. Just a reminder: children are welcome to bring in one small (non-electronic) toy to play with at lunchtimes, but these are their responsibility at all times.

Looking Ahead
Next week, I’ll be away with Year 6 on their residential trip to Cornwall. In my absence, Matt will be deputising and is available for any queries or support you may need.
