Wow! This afternoon we had our very first art assembly. All the children came to the hall ready with pencil and paper. Everyone was excited. We looked at a famous portrait called Girl with a Pearl Earring and then Mrs Aitken taught us the basics of drawing a portrait. Bit by bit the children followed the guidance and drew some amazing portraits. The hall was buzzing at the end and everyone left feeling proud of what they had drawn. Thank you Mrs Aitken for a brilliant assembly. We can’t wait for the next one!
