As it’s Book Week, our Make the Moon activity this week was linked to one of the most loved children’s books of all time – The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Inspired by Eric Carle’s iconic imagery we created our own collage illustration for the words ‘In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf.’

We had painted the paper in a previous session ensuring we got the effect of Carle’s famous brushstrokes. This week, we got busy cutting and sticking the shapes and adding details with pencils… a mixed media masterpiece!
