This term, Year 4 have been diving into the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt. From doing our own archaeological dig to decoding hieroglyphics, we’ve had an exciting time discovering what life was like thousands of years ago.
To bring our learning to life, we took on a hands-on art project- making our very own Canopic jars out of clay! The Ancient Egyptians used Canopic jars to put organs in to protect them in the afterlife! Year 4 have been busy designing and sculpting their own Canopic jars, showing real care and attention to detail. I was really impressed with everyone’s effort and their brilliant ideas!
