Fitness Thursday – Shapeshifters

To kick-start our maths day in style, our Fitness Thursday for this week was called ‘Shapeshifters’. Children were expected to dance until the music stopped. They would then be shown a two-dimensional shape and they had to get into that shape.

It was great seeing children exercising and seeing them come up with creative ways in order to replicate the shape shown. We saw: rectangles, semi-circles, pentagons, triangles and even an octagon!

A really rewarding morning and it resulting in children feeling excited about the day ahead. Well done to the Bronze Ambassadors who helped the younger children get into various shapes and thank you to Mr. Mason for providing us with some ‘Bangin Tunes’ courtesy of the DJ Express. The photographs below, courtesy of Mr. Frampton, capture the fun and excitement of our Fitness Thursday session perfectly.
