London’s burning!

Our topic for the next couple of weeks is The Great Fire of London. We’ve made a start by learning what London was like before the fire in 1666. The children have been using adjectives and the past tense to describe what we think life back then would have been like and have produced some amazing writing.

We’re also learning about ’cause and consequence’ in history. This is an important skill for the children to develop. This afternoon we were history detectives, searching for clues which gave us the ‘bigger picture’ surrounding the causes of the Great Fire of London and it’s consequences.

We are now very excited about of Great Fire of London workshop next week!
