Music to My Ears!

Music to My Ears!

This morning, Year Three made their way into the hall to learn all about instruments!

The Dorset Music Service kindly agreed to come into school and give the children a workshop all based around stringed instruments.

The children had a go at playing:

  • The Ukelele
  • The Violin
  • The Cello
  • The Guitar

The Dorset Music Service talked us through: how the instruments work, how you hold them and how you go about playing them.

The children all then had the chance to play each instrument and, by the end, children were playing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ and the theme song to ‘Jaws’ (dun nun…dun nun…).

A huge thank you to Mr. Price for choosing Year Three to receive this memorable experience and to the Dorset Music Service for inspiring future musicians. They absolutely loved it!
