New story, frost and Numberblocks!

What a busy start back at school – look what fun we have had with our learning this week!

When we were playing outside we discovered some areas of frost and then some ice! The frost was on lots of leaves and that made them look very sparkly.

The ice was on the top of the tyres – we found out how cold it was, why it was melting and we also found out that we could see our own reflection in it!

We started learning a new story – Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see? We used a story map and actions to help us. We then used puppets to re-tell the story during the day. We will have fun exploring the story more over the next few weeks.

As mathematicians we have secured our understanding of how numbers to 5 are made and how we use them. We created our own Numberblocks characters and described them.

We also found out about zero!
