We have had a brilliant day today learning about all things maths! This morning we rotated around different activities in our own classroom. To start with we had a quick game of bingo to warm us all up. Then ….

We enjoyed making arrays using sweets – although it was tempting to eat them, we managed to stop ourselves and use them to focus on the multiplications! We looked at how multiplication is commutative and explored this together.

Throughout the morning we also had chance to visit Emily’s shop. Learning about money and different coin combinations is really tricky, especially as everyone pays by card or on their phone now. At the end of our shop session everyone bought a token for an ice lolly which we then enjoyed this afternoon in the sunshine 🌞

During the afternoon we visited year 1. In Year 1 we recapped our understanding of position and direction using the the BeeBots and went over some previous learning about time using the mini clocks and playing time bingo!

Thought the day we also made badges of some of our favourite Numbots characters and of course enjoyed logging in and playing on some of our favourite Numbots games and stories.

A brilliant maths day… Can we do it all again soon?!
