Southill Sleepover

Southill Sleepover

Last night, in preparation for our London trip later this half term, Year 4 had a sleepover at school!

We started by taking part in some fun activities:

-Making Macbeth masks;

-Building the Globe Theatre/Dunsinane castle out of Lego and other materials; and

-A Kahoot quiz to see how much the children remember about Shakespeare’s story, Macbeth.

We then prepared our sleeping space, sipped some delicious hot chocolate and relaxed watched Paddington 2. After brushing our teeth, it was then time to try and enter the land of sleep…

I must say, we were absolutely blown away. They did so well considering the missed opportunities in previous years and they behaved impeccably throughout the evening, during the night and in the morning. We could not be prouder and we hope that the children have come home feeling happy and excited for the adventures to come!

A huge thank you to Rebecca Sanderson, Mr. Mason and Mrs. Wood for giving up your evening (and comfy bed) in order to help give the children an experience that I’m sure they will never forget.

Well done, Year 4! I hope you all have a great weekend.

    I’ve was so impressed with Year 4 last night! They had so much fun with the activities Mr P had organised for them, and settled down really well for the film.
    Our main aim was to make sure the children were happy, confident and prepared for their trip away in 4 weeks time and I hope we’ve managed to achieve that.
    Although, some of us did struggle to fall asleep and saw more early hours than we would have cared to, the children were really resilient and woke up happy and chatty, ready for breakfast.

    Thanks Year 4, it’s an experience I’ll never forget!
