Year 5 & 6 Shine at Wey Valley Dance Festival
Today, 10 children from Years 5 and 6 travelled to Wey Valley Academy to take part in a dance festival. The aim of the event was not only to help the children develop their dance skills and learn a choreographed routine, but also to give them the opportunity to mix and interact with pupils from other local primary schools.
After watching a fantastic performance by a group of Year 10 students, the girls were divided into three groups to learn a new dance routine to BeyoncĂ©’s Crazy in Love. With only a short time to rehearse, it was incredibly impressive to see them take to the stage with such confidence and enthusiasm in front of an audience of parents. They demonstrated real tenacity and true Southill spirit as they strutted across the stage.
A huge thank you to Joey from School Games and to the Year 10 students who delivered such a fun and inspiring day of dance.
