Sports Week 2025

What a fantastic week it was! We were absolutely thrilled to welcome back Sports Week — and even more delighted to invite parents, grandparents, siblings, and members of the Southill community to join us in celebrating all the exciting athletic action.

We kicked things off on Tuesday with the Sports Afternoon for Reception, Year One, and Year Two. The children participated in a variety of traditional and imaginative sporting challenges, proudly competing in their house teams. For many of our youngest pupils, it was their very first Sports Afternoon — and they rose to the occasion brilliantly! The field was full of smiles, superb teamwork, and enthusiastic encouragement, with some truly memorable individual performances. It was an afternoon bursting with joy, energy, and community spirit.

As the week continued, the competition heated up when the older year groups took to the field. In true athletic style, pupils chose the events that best matched their strengths, aiming to earn valuable points for their houses. From sprints to hurdles, the Flynn Cleave tug-of-war to the tyre pull, every event showcased grit and determination. It was inspiring to witness the sportsmanship and camaraderie as pupils supported and cheered each other on throughout.

Once all the scores were in and confirmed, here were the well-deserved house champions:

And, of course, a huge thank you to all the children of Southill. You gave us three unforgettable afternoons of sporting brilliance — we are so proud of each and every one of you.
