Stormbreaking With Year 1

This week we have started our ‘Stormbreak’ activities.

Stormbreak is a programme of activities designed to support children’s mental and physical health. Each activity links to a Stormbreak concept. These are; resilience, Self Care, Relationships, Self-worth and Hope and Optimism.

Every afternoon in Year 1 we have been enjoying one of our fun Stormbreakers. So far we have enjoyed ‘Classroom Rockstars’ an activity focused on self-worth and expressing differences. ‘Moon and Stars’ an activity focusing on hope and optimism, staying positive and reaching for our goals through challenging times and ‘Copy cats’ which focuses on relationships. Perfect for rebuilding the relationships in the classroom after a long period of time apart.

It has been great fun joining in with these activities as a whole class and being back together in the classroom. Below are some pictures from this week Stormbreak activities.

I wonder which ones we will choose next week?
