Studying Story Mountains

This week, we have been learning all about story mountains. We’ve learnt that no matter how short the story, most books follow this structure:

Introduction

Build up

Dilemma (uh ohhh)

Resolution

Conclusion

Rex (my one-year-old son) very kindly let Year 4 borrow his books so that we could see if this was in fact true. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking through the stories and identifying the different parts of the story mountain. We then applied this to our T4W text, Cinderella.
