This week the children began their Art unit – How do artists draw faces?  The first lesson was looking at texture and shadowing.  The children really took their time and produced some beautiful pieces of work.  Mrs Aitkin (a very talented artist herself!) guided the children to  improve their skills.  They held a pencil at different places along its ‘body’ and then produced sketches of apples.  You can see from the drawings that some children even added extra detail, like a little worm!
