The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares

We had an incredible morning with the charity run The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares, who ran a creative workshop for the year 3’s.  They asked the children what they wanted their story to be about, where the story should take place, who the characters should be and the children voted for the characters/setting/theme they thought was the best.  As the ideas were collected by Ed, Nick wrote them down on a large screen so all the children could see their story being written down.  As this was happening there was also an illustrator called Francesca Chessa who was online the whole time from Italy!  As the story progressed she was listening the whole time and creating pictures for the story.

The children decided to leave the story on a cliffhanger (quite literally!) and then the children were given their own workbooks to conclude their story in anyway they wanted!   It was an incredible morning, even with a phone call from the banker on a big red phone!  Lots of the children got to talk to her and tell her their ending!
