The Last Week of Lockdown Learning…

The Last Week of Lockdown Learning…

What a totally bonkers week! Book Week, assemblies from both David Walliams and Michael Rosen, The Masked Reader, Bog Roll Book Characters and creating cosy Book Nooks. It’s been a brilliant Book Week despite the current circumstances and thank you to everybody who has sent in pictures and work linked to all sorts of super stories.

You’ve also been busy sketching your surroundings just like Conrad Martens did during his time with Charles Darwin on the HMS Beagle. I have seen super sketches of wildlife, plants, shells, the beach, Weymouth harbour, trees and even Darwin himself!

It has also been great seeing you all take a break from staring at screens today in order to fully appreciate the wonders of other incredible activities such as: bike rides, dog walks, baking, painting and various sporting activities.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been learning from home, to all parents and carers for wearing your hero capes and becoming temporary teachers. You have been incredible and I hope that the work set has been fun.  We have all completed life in lockdown and I cannot wait to see you all on Monday!

Have a lovely weekend!

Fab photos! Thank you for all you’ve done over this lockdown period to keep us learning, inspired and entertained! Won’t it be lovely to all be back together.

Isla – your Blue Peter badge arrived later than Reed’s didn’t it and too late for our Virtual Assembly this week unfortunately, or (of course) I would have included it with his. As mentioned to your mum though, we’ll add it in our next assembly. Fantastic – it must feel amazing to have received it! Well done.
