Y5/6 – Settling in to Spring.

Y5/6 – Settling in to Spring.

Well, this week has been rather unusual, hasn’t it? Once again, it just goes to show how resilient and resourceful the children at Southill truly are. In particular, Years 5 and 6 have really settled quickly to new routines and have worked tirelessly on the learning set each day.

We’ve also had a bit of fun in the afternoons. The children have produced some superb artwork by painting a beautiful African sunset with a silhouetted foreground, brushed up on their reciprocal skills by taking part in an afternoon of tricky Taskmaster-themed challenges and even participated in an orienteering competition.

We have also been seeing some of the work that the children are sending in from home on Google Classroom and we applaud your efforts; keep up the good work!

If you wish to feature in next week’s blog post, please send some pictures of you with your home learning to either Mr. Prior, Mrs. Butler or Mrs. Hill via Google Classroom or email. We would love to see it.

A very difficult and perplexing week, but it just goes to show just how incredible the Southill community is.
