What a week!

We have had a fabulous week in Year 5 full of mythical creatures, multiplication, studying the Moon, gymnastics, computing, music making, insulation experiments and much more, phew!

We have worked hard on our sentence starters in information texts using generalisers, adverbs and signposts.  We have begun to multiply 2-digit by 2-digit numbers and this is really tricky, well done Year 5 for being so resilient!

We have also written some lovely myths to explain our scientific knowledge about the Moon.  Ask us why the Moon has craters, or why the Moon always faces the Earth because our imaginative myths are brilliant!

One of our favourite lessons this week was using Garage Band on the iPads to compose some space themed musical pieces using Space Pop songs as inspiration.

Finally, we also used our computing skills to complete our stop motion videos showing how the Earth experiences night and day through its movement in space orbiting the sun.  These are phenomenal and really well thought out Year 5, well done!
