Fantastic Friday!

Phonics: Letters and Sounds lesson 44

Picture of the day: A fun picture to make us smile on Funny Friday! Look at this amazing house!

What is this?         Who lives here?       Why did they choose to live in a teapot?
Why is there steam/smoke coming out of the spout?
What is the house like inside?
Is this a normal-sized teapot for a miniature person, or a giant teapot for a normal-sized person?
Why are the trees square?
Where do you think this is?

Write about some of these answers today. How could you start your sentences? You could use some of these ideas: The…….  I think…..  A……..   There is………    I can see……..

Have fun today with Oti’s Boogie Beebies.

Maths: A link to one of the activities from White Rose Maths. This is taken from Day 1 of Princess Mirror-Belle (A story by Julia Donaldson). You can use objects from around your home or constructions kits and building blocks. Have fun building a palace!

Other Activities

Re-visiting: In our class we often re-visit activities and experiences each week and sometimes the activities run for a week or more. Today, look back at the fun we have had this week and re-visit one or two of the tasks. Some suggestions could include:

  • Using rulers to draw shapes and pictures.
  • Handwriting challenges – salt tray
  • Drawing challenges – view from the window, a colourful house or a teapot house!
  • Use construction toys to build different buildings
  • Dough Disco

Getting Outside: Here are some fun football challenges to try – choose one or two and see how you get on.

Tidy Time! Remember it’s Tidy Friday. Here is a bonkers song to help you whilst you tidy!
