Busy with Shapes

Well done Class 2 for another awesome week of learning.  You are all doing so well back in school.

This week we have continued to learn about shape, space and movement.  We’ve had lots of tricky new vocabulary to learn, understand and use.  We’ve been moving shapes using left, right, up and down.  Rotating shapes using clockwise, anti-clockwise, quarter, half, three quarter and full turn.  We have continued with 3D shape using the shape names and property features vertices, faces and edges.

In English we are now writing our innovated information texts about dragons – and what a lot of dragons there are!  From snow dragons to ice dragons and everything in between.

On Thursday we welcomed Rev Matt via Google Meet to talk to us about Easter and answer lots of great questions.  Rev Matt was so impressed with your thought provoking questions.  He is really looking forward to a visit in person in the future.

We are continuing to enjoy our Stormbreak sessions to help us with our emotional development and our mood monster display in class is also supporting us to identify how we are feeling and get help if we need it.

There will be no home learning set today as we finish for the Easter break next Wednesday.  The next home learning will be scheduled on Friday 23rd April for testing the following week.  In the meantime, if you would like to continue to practise the 2, 5 and 10 times tables facts you can use TT Rockstars at home.  Login details were sent via google classroom and will still be available there.

Have a great weekend everyone.  We look forward to seeing you next week.
