A drum! A drum! Macbeth doth come!

We’re up and running. Or at least Macbeth and Banquo have left the battle field.

The wind howled like a wolf into the night as Macbeth and Banquo trudged home from battle. Ominous black clouds sprawled across the gloomy, malevolent sky. Thunder grumbled in the distance and the lightning streaked against the stormy blanket of grey.

To start our topic we spent some time looking at quotes from the play and wondering who said them and what expression they might have used. Some drama games around greeting a battled friend at the end of the fight and a first go at acting out that first meeting with the witches!!!!

In the afternoon the question was … where does Shakespeare fit into a timeline of British history next to other events that we have studied in previous years?

Hector loved learning Macbeth and doing drama with his friends!
