A Week In Year 6

We’ve had a fantastic week in Year 6 where we’ve listened to podcasts, visited the library, produced our own tales of fear and improved games in our Computing lesson!

In Maths, we started our new topic: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We spent some time using resources to create arrays which represent factors, and common factors between different numbers. The counters and cubes helped us to visualise the common factors.

In PE, we had a fantastic tag rugby lesson where we continued to work on our passing, moving with the ball, and even had a go at defending. The children were grouped in their house teams and had to try and get past the ‘attacking team’ without being tagged. It was excellent to see the class being so supportive, resilient and enthusiastic in the lesson.

We also enjoyed a visit to the library on Wednesday where we spent some time picking out books to share with our buddies on Monday. How exciting!

A busy but brilliant week, Year 6. Well done!
