Hear me ROAR!

Hear me ROAR!

We are really enjoying our class story this half term! It’s called ‘The Land of Roar’ written by Jenny McLachlan. Its a cracking book! Feeling inspired, we decided to delve a little deeper into two of the characters that feature in this great novel.

The children chose one of two characters in order to describe their appearance and personality to someone who hadn’t read the book. The characters we focused on were-

Win – A ninja/wizard who is kind-hearted, fiercely loyal but rather clumsy and terrible at magic

Crowky – an evil, cunning scarecrow who loves torturing and tormenting anybody he can get his stick-hands on.

The children were really enthusiastic about this task and were very proud of their pieces of writing. It also showed me just how much they are enjoying the book as they could remember so much about both of the characters!

Well done, Year 4!

  1. today I really enjoyed doing this task because it required me to use all of the different writing skills we have come across in year 4 (I know what I’m asking for when it’s my birthday). 🙂

  2. I really enjoyed this task!
