Hey hey we can Ukelele!

Hey hey we can Ukelele!

What an exciting afternoon we’ve had in Year 4! Mr McGregor, who works for the Dorset Music Service, very kindly came in to teach us to play the ukelele. Our first session involved learning about the instrument, how we hold it and the names of the frets on the instrument.

Mr McGregor then set us the mission to play the first line of ‘Happy Birthday’ and already a lot of the children were doing it! Brace yourselves parents as the children will get to bring their ukelele home next Friday in order to begin practising how to play it.

We are looking forward to seeing just how far the children can push themselves and develop a new skill using an awesome instrument.

Well done, Year 4. Same time next week!
