Making Soup

After learning the story of The Enormous Turnip we decided that we would make our own soup!

We used three different vegetables in our soup – potato, carrot and sweet potato.

We started by chopping the vegetables into small pieces.

We then had to tip the pieces into the bowl. Then Mrs Puddick tipped them into the soup maker.

The soup maker cooked the vegetables and mixed them to make the soup.

The best bit was tasting the soup!

We all tasted the soup. Some of us did not like the taste, some of us ate a bit and some of us ate it all up!

After this exciting experience we decided to make a book about making soup – we each made our own book.

We used our phonic knowledge to help us and had our grapheme mats too. We are becoming confident writers.
