Mathematicians, explorers and writers.

This week, let’s start with mathematicians. We have been learning to use a ten frame to help us with our counting. We chose a number, counted that number of counters and then placed them in the ten frame. It was a good way of talking about numbers.

Explorers – continuing with our learning about cold places. We had icebergs for our penguins this week! I think they enjoyed it. We also built boats for Ernest Shackleton.

Writers in Reception. Every morning there is a writing challenge for us. It is usually a picture for us to write about. Here is our challenge to write about a brightly coloured, smiling fish with teeth!

Finally….

Look at this amazing structure! This went on for a whole day with children working together. It started off as a zoo, but with additions such as a temple and decorations. We are leaving it out over night so that we can add to it tomorrow.
