Merry Christmas from Year Six!

We have had a busy but exciting final week of the term in Year 6!

In English, we have worked very hard to produce our own poems inspired by Red Fox by Robert Macfarlane. We focused on using descriptive names, exciting vocabulary and the most difficult of all, a specific rhyming structure! We are all really proud of our finished pieces and I am looking forward to displaying them in the classroom next term.

In Maths, we continued our learning of converting measure and had a go at completing some very challenging Christmas coordinates!

We have also been really lucky to have our own Year Six book advent calendar to open each morning. Here are just a few of the books we have added to our classroom bookshelf:

Finally, we ended the week by spending some time with our buddies. We were really looking forward to this and we enjoyed doing some Christmas colouring with them.

Thank you for all your Christmas messages, cards and gifts. We hope everyone has a lovely break and we look forward to welcoming you back in January!
