This afternoon, some of the Southill Netball club formed a team to attend the Netball Bee Rally at Budmouth school, and what a team they were!  This was by far and away, the best I have seen them play this season.

After a delayed start due to the torrential rain and hail which appeared as if from nowhere, we played three matches with 4 quarters of 7 minutes in each match.  Well done, over an hour and a half of playing and you still went strong, right to the end.

Alongside our natural Southill sportsmanship and fair play, we were resilient and reciprocal at all times.  There were some tough games and strong opponents in some of these matches and Southill never once let their guard down or gave up. We dominated most of our matches with strong passing, intercepting and marking.

We achieved final scores of;

7 goals against Bincombe Valley from Danika, Amelia, Izzi, Freya and Wills

1 goal against St. John’s from Wills

2 goals against St. Augustines from Izzi and Sophia.

This truly was an afternoon to remember Netball club, you most certainly have done your school proud today.
