New climbing frames!

We’re very excited that work began today on our two brand new climbing frames to enhance our play areas.

On the lower playground we are having The Puzzlewood Forest – a circuit climbing frame made up of numerous obstacles at different levels. This structure develops children’s fine and gross motor skills, balance, proprioception, strength and core stability.

On the upper playground we are having Crinkle Crags – a very large and challenging log climbing frame with dozens of crossing and traversing points. Children can take on this challenge on their own or in groups, further developing their communication and teamwork skills. The entire challenge is open-ended allowing children to enter and exit wherever they like and climb as high as they feel comfortable.

There’s lots to do but hopefully work will be completed the week after next. I know everyone will be excited to play on them.
