Settling in to Year 6

Settling in to Year 6

It was great seeing all of the children flooding back to school today! The day consisted of: settling back into routines and learning, asking any questions or queries, learning a little more about each other and, of course, having a bit of fun!

The children have created a Bitmoji of themselves, filled in a fact file to help me get to know them even better and even learnt a little bit about our new topic – A Child’s War. It has been amazing seeing some of the home learning that the children have been busy putting together during the summer and I am sure we are going to have a blast this half term learning all about World War Two!

Of course, we even managed to fit in ‘The Daily Mile’. This half term, a trophy will be awarded to the winning team who complete the most laps collectively.

A thoroughly enjoyable day and I hope children have come home feeling happy and safe at school. Bring on tomorrow!
