Southill At the Pavilion!

Today saw the culmination of a fantastic Oracy project for Year 5 when we had the opportunity to perform The Jabberwocky, on stage, live at The Pavilion!

For the past few months, we have been practising our Oracy Skills by developing our expression, breathing, intonation, rhythym and actions to match our poetry.

We then put these into practice and created an amazing performance of the Jabberwocky complete with advanced skills of canon bursts, rounds and mirroring beginning to ending of our performance.

We had 4 very brave pupils who had written and planned their own presentation about the poem, what it means, how much we enjoy it and what we have done to practise our performance of it. You all spoke clearly, loudly and beautifully. Well done each and every one of you for standing at the front of that stage and starting our performance so well.

Year 5, you blew us away! Your poem was on time, clear, active and so brilliantly performed, you have done us and yourselves proud! We were all very excited to perform today and were buzzing to be at The Pavilion, yet there were a lot of nerves for some of us today as well. Your resilience in standing on stage and performing so well is tremendous. A true Southill Performance to be proud of Year 5, well done each and every one of you.
