Today sees the first ever Chesil Youth Pride, with a stream of fun activities and events taking place throughout the day!

Hosted by Dorset Council, Weymouth College, Space Youth Project, The Drop-In (Portland) and Dorset Police – today is a celebration of our LGBTQ+ young people which will include organisations offering advice and support.

From 1:00pm an event with stalls, a photo booth, support, advice and information including stacks of fun Pride activities takes place at Weymouth College.

At 4:30pm a proud group parade will walk the stretch of the Esplanade up to the Pavilion, with arrays of cheers and encouragement from all spectating.  Come give them a wave and a cheer! After this, celebrations will conclude with plenty of music and dancing.

Here at Southill Primary, everyone is welcome – we are an inclusive, safe space where we celebrate people.  Today, we look forward to celebrating with the young people of Dorset; to those taking part, attending, and our local community who support and offer their time.
