That’s a wrap!

We’ve had a super busy week in Year 6 as we came to the end of our Circulatory System project! We started the week by making scatter graphs based on data we collected last week after we conducted our own experiment to test the hypothesis:

‘Children with lower resting heart rates sprint faster than those with higher resting heart rates.’

After we plotted our data on the scatter graph, we could see that all of our points were random so we could conclude that there was no correlation between resting heart rates and the speed at which we could sprint! We also spent some time learning the importance of a fair test and what a control variable is.

In addition to this, the class impressed Mr Bell in their end of term Music assessment where the children could demonstrate all that they had learnt this term.

We also finished our class novel ‘Holes’ and we finished the week off by watching the film adaptation today.

Finally, we enjoyed making Christmas cards for our buddies and sitting with them during the Christmas lunch and the end of term talent show.

Well done Year 6 for a fantastic first term – you have all worked incredibly hard and we are so proud of you all for what you have achieved! Have a lovely rest over Christmas and we will see you in January!
