To round off our project about different animals, today we had a visit from Tommy the tortoise. We talked about how we knew Tommy is a reptile because of his dry, scaly skin and the fact that tortoises lay eggs (although we realised Tommy wouldn’t lay eggs because he’s a boy!). We had a close up look at his beak and his flat disk shaped ears.
I’m sure he enjoyed meeting Year 1 as much as they enjoyed meeting him!
This was the first thing Arthur told us about when we picked him up from school! Have a lovely half term
