Wiggly Worms

As mathematicians we started exploring length today. We used vocabulary such as long, short, longer, shorter, longest and shortest.

We started the day sharing a funny book called I can only draw worms. We had great fun talking about the worms and laughing at the funny parts.

We used this as a basis for taking our learning about length into our classroom provision. For one job, our drawing club, we could draw any type of worm we liked, but we could only draw worms! Such great imaginations – long worms, short worms, worms with hats, crowns, hair, beards, wings and lots more.

We also used our playdough to make worms – have a look at our amazing creations!
