Thursday 26th March

Come and explore your tasks for today.

Other: Starting with ‘other’ today – we usually start our Thursdays at school outside for big play. If you are able to, go and spend some time in your garden – play with a ball (throw and catch, kicking), make an obstacle course or jump over a target. If you do not have access to a garden, make an obstacle course inside. You could throw and catch inside with something like a balloon or a sock.

Phonics: Please see suggestions from Tuesday and Wednesday. Why not focus on the ‘trigraphs’ today – remember these are 3 letters that make 1 sound. Can you find them on your sound board or in your book? Check with the Alphablocks too.

Writing: Here is your picture of the day – can you write a sentence about this picture? Think about how to start your sentence – talk about it with your grown-up. Remember to sound out any words you are not sure of – use your sound board to help and sound out using our fingers. Grown-ups, please check the top tips in your first email.

Reading: Continue with your school books please and enjoy sharing books with people at home.

Maths: Re-visit the information from yesterday please. Also, sing some counting songs together at home and try to find/make props to help you. Examples include: 10 green bottles, 10 in the bed, 5 little men in a flying saucer and 5 little ducks.

Have fun and keep in touch. Feel free to email me any pictures or to update me on how you are getting on with these tasks.
