Shabbat Shalom!

This half term in RE we are learning about Judaism. Today we have focused on The Jewish celebration of Shabbat.

We have been looking at the special bread that is shared and listening to Shabbat blessings. We have also learnt about the Jewish place of worship and what we might find inside. We have learnt that this is called a Synagogue.

The children had a great time sharing the special Challah bread and learning the toast ‘Shabbat Shalom’ which means happy Shabbat.

Thank you to Mrs Jones for making this special bread – it was delicious!!

Below are some pictures of us sharing the bread and raising our drinks bottles in celebration.

Shabbat Shalom everybody!!
