This week we have found out about Advent. Advent is a time to think about Christmas and to prepare for our celebrations.
In our class we have got a wooden Father Christmas calendar to help us count down to Christmas. We are also reading an Advent chapter book called ‘How Winston Delivered Christmas’. An adventure story to read each day.
We have also got a beautiful Christmas tree in our classroom. At the top there is a star with Baby Jesus in his crib.
Our story this week is ‘Little Robin Red Vest’. A wonderful story about caring for other people.
In our drawing club we drew the main character (Robin) and some of his friends.
We then had fun making homes for the robin and his friends.
As well as our large Christmas tree, we have a small one with a selection of decorations to use. We can work with our friends to decorate the tree in many different ways. Here we are having fun!
Isobel has loved the books so far and keeps telling us robins are her favourite! What a lovely week, thank you!
